OnePlus Ace 7 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Active Cooling Fan to be introduced on October 29

OnePlus has officially announced the upcoming launch of its Ace 7 series will be introduced on October 29th in China as the successor to last year’s Ace 6 series. It also confirmed that the flagship OnePlus Ace 7 Pro will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform.

Alongside the hardware selection, the company revealed that its proprietary “Wind Chaser Game Kernel” has been integrated directly into the chip’s underlying architecture at the factory level to optimize performance.

The announcement places significant emphasis on thermal management. The Ace 7 series introduces what OnePlus calls a performance-oriented “dual-path Glacier Air Cooling System,” designed to maintain sustained frame rates while keeping device temperatures down during intensive tasks.

According to OnePlus, this cooling architecture relies on three primary engineering components:

  • Dual-Airflow Channel Design: The system routes hot air away from internal components while directing cooler air toward contact points, targeting both internal chip temperatures and external surface heat.
  • Tower Fin Heat Sink Structure: Drawing inspiration from PC-grade graphics cards and desktop coolers, the phone incorporates dedicated tower fins to increase surface area and accelerate heat dissipation.
  • Dedicated Temperature Control Hardware: The system pairs thermal sensors with an intelligent regulation algorithm to monitor and adjust cooling dynamically.

Exterior Aesthetics, Materials, and “Storm Island” Deco

Alongside performance specifications, OnePlus revealed the comprehensive visual design of the series, showing an emphasis on material durability and symmetry across both models.

Chassis and Colorways

The lineup introduces two primary finishes: Radiant White on the OnePlus Ace 7 and Midnight Black on the OnePlus Ace 7 Pro. Both variants utilize a fiberglass back cover treated with a fine matte texture designed to resist fingerprints and daily abrasions. The Midnight Black finish offers a low-key, muted tone, while the Radiant White provides a lighter, semi-translucent appearance. A flat metal frame with straight edges and a textured finish wraps around the chassis, aligning flush with the rear panel.

Rear Camera Module and Active Fan Integration

The rear camera assembly—referred to as the Deco—features a flat, metal cube-like housing with edges that mirror the curvature of the outer chassis. Known as the “Storm Island” design, this module incorporates an oval air intake directly into the housing, seamlessly embedding the active cooling fan without requiring a separated or protruding vent.

Dynamic Crescent Lighting

Positioned beneath the primary camera lens is a crescent-shaped indicator featuring a starlight-gradient breathing effect. The light remains concealed beneath the surface when inactive and supports user customization when illuminated, providing ambient dynamic lighting effects during gaming or system notifications.

Front Display Layout

On the front, the OnePlus Ace 7 series utilizes a symmetrical flat display bordered by narrow bezels. The front-facing camera is housed within a single, centered circular punch-hole cutout, maximizing screen-to-body area for media viewing and gaming.

Pre-orders have opened across major e-commerce platforms in China. The lineup is expected to launch with two configurations: the standard OnePlus Ace 7 and the higher-tier OnePlus Ace 7 Pro. Pricing, regional availability, and complete hardware specifications will be revealed when these go official next week.
