itel has launched the itel City 300 5G in India. Positioned in the value segment, the device aims to provide high-speed cellular connectivity, modern display specifications, and a lightweight software interface.
Display and Build
The itel City 300 5G is built around a 6.67-inch HD+ punch-hole display featuring a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2.5D curved glass design. The higher refresh rate is designed to improve responsiveness during navigation, streaming, and casual gaming. The handset measures 8.4mm in thickness and will be available in three distinct color options: Dark Ruby, Mist Beige, and Bold Indigo.
Performance and Hardware
Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core T8200 6nm processor paired with 4GB of RAM. On the network side, it includes support for 10 distinct 5G bands, integrating NRCA (New Radio Carrier Aggregation) technology and UltraLink free calling capabilities to maintain network reliability across supported carriers.
Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery that charges via a standard USB Type-C port; a 10W power adapter is included in the retail packaging.
Cameras, Security, and Software
The optical setup consists of:
- Rear Camera: 13MP sensor with autofocus support
- Front Camera: 8MP sensor for selfies and video calls
For biometric authentication, itel has integrated a side-mounted fingerprint scanner alongside software-based face unlock. The City 300 5G runs Android 16 Go Edition, an operating system variant optimized for entry-tier hardware specifications to maintain system responsiveness and reduce pre-installed software bloat.
