
HUAWEI has launched the HUAWEI Mate 90 Series, comprising the Mate 90, Mate 90 Pro, Mate 90 Pro Max, Mate 90 Pro Max Collectors Edition, and HUAWEI Mate 90 RS ULTIMATE DESIGN.
Mate 90, Mate 90 Pro and Mate 90 Pro Max
The Mate 90 and Mate 90 Pro feature 6.75-inch displays, while the Mate 90 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch panel. All three support 1.07 billion colors, 1–120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 300Hz touch sampling, and third-generation Kunlun Glass.

The Mate 90 Pro Max Collectors Edition also has a 6.9-inch dual-layer OLED display with BT.2020 ultra-wide color gamut, FHD+ 2848 × 1320 resolution, and Xuanwu Kunlun Glass.
The Mate 90 Pro uses the second-generation Linglong Display with 12,000-nit brightness at 1% APL and an enhanced Tandem OLED panel. HUAWEI says its panel lifespan is increased by 138%, while the Pro Max and Collectors Edition use Full-color Linglong Displays with 12,000-nit brightness and full BT.2020 end-to-end color management. More than 60 mainstream apps can also upsample P3 content to full-color BT.2020, while the series supports ambient light detection and a 1-nit ultra-low brightness eye-comfort mode.

The Mate 90 uses the Kirin 9030, the Mate 90 Pro uses the Kirin 9035, and the Mate 90 Pro Max and Collectors Edition use the Kirin 9050 Pro. The entire series runs HarmonyOS 7, which vertically integrates the hardware, software, chips, and cloud. HUAWEI’s lab tests claim performance increases of 27% for the Mate 90, 20% for the Mate 90 Pro, and 31% for the Mate 90 Pro Max Premium Edition compared with the respective previous-generation models.
The Kirin 9050 Pro supports hyper-threading and hardware ray tracing of up to 55 million rays per second. The Mate 90 Pro Max also uses the LogicFolding Tau architecture with 5 million signal transmission bonds and up to 125 TB/s inter-die bandwidth. For connectivity, the lineup uses a Wi-Fi and cellular converged antenna architecture with a 2dB signal gain, while all models support eSIM and the Pro Max supports four-SIM, three-standby functionality.
The Mate 90, Mate 90 Pro, and Mate 90 Pro Max use True-to-Color Camera 3.0 with full-focal-length infrared optical coating. HUAWEI says this improves overall color accuracy by 37% and skin-tone accuracy by 62%, while the XMAGE True-to-Color Portrait engine includes Portrait original, Soft light portrait, Dazzling fireworks, and Starburst modes.

All three models support 4x optical zoom, 8x optical quality zoom, 100x digital zoom, and up to 4K 3840 × 2160 video recording. They also have a 13MP f/2.0 ultra-wide front camera with autofocus and a 3D Depth Sensing Camera. The Pro Max additionally features an 18 EV ultra-HDR main camera, CIPA 7.5-rated hardware image stabilization, and a dedicated live-streaming optimization mode.
The Mate 90 has a 6,600mAh battery with 66W wired charging, 5W wired reverse charging, and 50W wireless charging with wireless reverse charging. The Mate 90 Pro has a 6,600mAh battery with 100W wired charging, 18W wired reverse charging, and 50W wireless charging with wireless reverse charging, while the Pro Max and Collectors Edition have 6,800mAh batteries with 100W wired charging, 18W wired reverse charging, and 50W wireless charging with wireless reverse charging.

- Celia Call 2.0: Supports automated call answering, call summaries, and real-time translation.

- HarmonyOS Interconnect: Supports remote Huawei Share and one-tap sharing with multiple HarmonyOS devices.
The entire lineup also supports IP68 dust and water resistance up to 6 meters, along with IP69 protection against high-temperature, high-pressure water spray.

The RS is powered by the Kirin 9050 Pro and comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB, 1TB, or 2TB storage. It has a 6,800mAh battery with 100W wired charging, 18W wired reverse charging, and 50W wireless charging with wireless reverse charging.
