Panasonic Eluga coming to NTT Docomo in Japan on March 29


Panasonic announced Eluga, 4-3-inch waterproof Android smartphone for Europe at MWC 2012 last month. NTT docomo has announced that it  will be available on March 29th as P-04D in their NEXT series. It would run on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update promised in summer of 2012.

The Panasonic Eluga has 4.3 inch, (960×540 pixels ), capacitive OLED display that has 66% display area ratio, 1GHz dual-core processor (OMAP4430) and 8MP auto focus camera. It comes with 8GB internal memory, 32GB expandable memory and 1150 mAh non-removable Battery.

Since it comes with NFC, it would have Mobile wallet support on NTT docomo. It also has ‘eco mode’, Panasonic’s unique power-saving technology which provides significant environmental benefit by shutting down non-essential features on low battery.

The Panasonic Eluga would come in a unique deep purple color in Japan and they will start reservations from (Thursday) March 22, 2012. It would be available in Silver and Black colors in Europe in April 2012 as they announced previously.
