OPPO rolls out ColorOS 16 March update with virus scan and multiple timers


OPPO has started rolling out the March update for ColorOS 16. The update introduces new security features, multitasking tools, and system-level improvements.

Security: Virus scan feature

ColorOS 16 now includes a Virus Scan feature that allows users to detect suspicious applications and remove them if required. The feature is integrated within the system and helps protect user data and privacy.

Productivity: Multiple timers

The update adds support for multiple timers on a single screen. Users can run and monitor multiple timers simultaneously, with all active timers displayed in one view. This enables tracking of parallel tasks.

Additional updates

• Content Portal enhancements with support for app clones, enabling content sharing across cloned apps
• Control for automatically opening received files, allowing management of file access
• Timer improvements with estimated stop times for planning

Rollout and availability

The update is being rolled out in phases from March 16 to March 31. It is available on OPPO Find X9, OPPO Find X9 Pro, OPPO Find X8, OPPO Find X8 Pro, OPPO Reno14 Pro, and OPPO Reno14.
