Telegram has released its first update of 2026, adding AI-powered summaries for channel posts and Instant View pages, along with a fully implemented Liquid Glass interface on iOS. The update focuses on productivity, content clarity, and user data privacy.

AI Summaries
Long channel posts can now be summarized instantly. Instant View pages also display an AI-generated summary at the top to help users quickly review content.
These summaries use open-source models running on Cocoon, a decentralized network designed to maintain user privacy. Each request is securely encrypted. Cocoon can be integrated into other AI applications, with detailed guidance available in the developer documentation.
Liquid Glass Interface on iOS
Telegram for iOS now fully supports Liquid Glass, including transparent elements and refraction effects throughout the app. Users can adjust interface effects for performance and battery efficiency via Settings > Power Saving.
