Amazon Great Indian Festival 2025: 2.76 billion visits, Rs. 1000 crore customer savings across categories and more


The Amazon Great Indian Festival 2025 has set new benchmarks for festive shopping in India. Amazon India reported over 276 crore (2.76 billion) customer visits, with 70% from tier 2 and 3 cities. Shoppers purchased a wide range of items including smartphones, smart TVs, sarees, festive décor, beauty products, and everyday essentials.

The event marked record customer engagement and GST benefits, enabling hundreds of crores in savings across multiple categories. This edition also recorded the highest-ever number of sellers completing sales nationwide, spanning regions such as Kangra, Haridwar, Muzaffarpur, Jamnagar, Darjeeling, Shimoga, and Salem. Prime members benefited from exclusive offers and faster delivery services.

Saurabh Srivastava, Vice President, Amazon India, explained that sellers and brand partners experienced multi-fold growth across categories, reflecting trust from customers nationwide. He noted that the festival enabled over ₹1,000 crore in customer savings through bank offers, GST benefits, and cashback rewards, while supporting growth for small businesses, local artisans, and made-in-India brands.

Prime Delivery Performance

Prime members received faster deliveries across India:

  • Same-day: 1.4 crore products (+60% year-on-year)
  • Next-day: 2.8 crore products (+22% year-on-year)

Same-day and next-day deliveries in metro cities increased 29%, while two-day deliveries in tier 2 and 3 cities rose 37%. Approximately 70% of new Prime members came from tier 2 and 3 cities.

Seller Achievements & Amazon Bazaar
  • Highest participation from SMBs, with more than two-thirds from tier 2 and 3 cities.
  • Amazon Bazaar, the ultra-affordable product store, saw over 2X growth in seller participation, with more than 50% achieving their highest single-day sales, and 15X sellers crossing ₹1 lakh in sales compared to last year.
  • 18 states and Union Territories, including Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Punjab, and Andhra Pradesh, recorded the largest number of sellers crossing ₹1 lakh in sales.
Payment and Shopping Trends
  • Amazon Pay used by 25% of customers; UPI accounted for nearly 25% of orders (+23% y-o-y).
  • 1 in 6 purchases across mobiles, large appliances, TVs, and electronics used EMI; 80% of these were No Cost EMI (NCEMI).
  • Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card usage increased 10% y-o-y, with cardholder expenditure up 15% and transactions up 13%.
  • Gift cards +42%, Amazon Pay Later +84% new issuances, and Rewards Gold offered 5% cashback across 15+ brands upon completion of 25 payments in 3 months (T&C apply).
  • International flight bookings rose 15%, and total value increased 10% compared to last year.
Consumer Electronics & Appliances
  • Premium smartphones (>₹30,000) grew 30%, with 65% from tier 2 and 3 cities.
  • TV upgrades: 43” → 55” (+10%), 75”+ (+70%); QLED TVs +105%, Mini-LED +500X.
  • MacBook Air M4 demand increased 21X, Sony Home Theatre systems +320%.
Fashion, Beauty & Jewellery
  • Fashion and beauty growth reached 95% y-o-y.
  • Lab-grown diamonds +390%, precious jewellery and silver coins +200%.
  • Premium apparel +150%, Korean beauty products +75%, premium watches +55%.
Automobiles & Connected Mobility
  • Two-wheelers +105%, covering 550+ models from 18 OEMs, with average delivery of six days.
  • Popular models included Xtreme 125R, Bajaj Pulsar 125, Ather Rizta, Chetak 3501, KTM 250.
  • Amazon expanded premium portfolio with Royal Enfield, KTM, Triumph, JAWA, Yezdi, and KeeWAY.
  • Connected mobility products increased 88%.
Grocery, Essentials & Home
  • Amazon Now ultra-fast delivery operated in select Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai pin codes.
  • Amazon Fresh +60% from tier 2 and 3 cities; fruits and vegetables accounted for 50% of demand.
  • Organic, premium, and sustainable products +100%; premium gifting also +100% in non-metro markets.
  • Festive lights and décor +500%, Atomberg/Borosil/Pexpo +38%, safety and security products +25%.
Fire TV & Kindle Devices
  • Xiaomi Fire TVs (55” QLED, 43” 4K) were top sellers.
  • Kindle Paperwhite was the most purchased e-reader on Amazon.in.
Amazon Bazaar & Business
  • Amazon Bazaar: daily shoppers +150%, new customers +400% (65% from tier 2/3 cities).
  • Amazon Business: new sign-ups +30%, bulk orders +120%, corporate gifting +60% y-o-y.
