Apple ‘Shop with a Specialist Over Video’ launched in India

Apple has introduced a new virtual shopping feature in India called “Shop with a Specialist over Video,” allowing users to get expert product guidance directly from the Apple Store online.

Apple noted that India is the second country in the world to receive this service, reflecting its growing retail focus in the region. The launch follows the earlier introduction of the Apple Store app in India, which added personalized browsing, shopping, and support features for local users.

How it Works

The service enables customers to connect with an Apple team member via a secure, one-way video call. Users can browse Apple’s latest products—such as the iPhone 16 series—and learn about features, trade-in programs, financing options, and more.

While the Apple Specialist appears on video, the customer remains on audio-only for privacy. During the session, customers receive tailored advice to compare models, understand features, and explore purchasing options suited to their needs.

Availability and Access

Shoppers can start a session by visiting apple.com/in/store. The service is available across India from Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. IST. It supports the English language and can be accessed on both iOS and non-iOS devices.

Speaking about the launch, Karen Rasmussen, Apple’s Head of Retail Online, said:

India is a vibrant and evolving market, and we’re excited to deepen our connection with customers here through Shop with a Specialist over Video. Whether someone lives in a metro city or a smaller town, we’re committed to making it easier than ever for them to access the exceptional products, services, and support Apple is known for. Our team members look forward to connecting with even more customers in India and providing them with outstanding service as they discover which Apple products best suit their needs.
