Sonos announced the rollout of a new software update for its Sonos Ace headphones, introducing several exciting features to improve the user experience. The update includes the long-awaited TrueCinema technology, an improved TV Audio Swap for two listeners, smarter Active Noise Cancellation, and better call clarity.
What’s New with Sonos Ace:
Personal Home Theater for Two: The improved TV Audio Swap feature allows two people to hear the same TV sound at the same time, perfectly synced on their separate Sonos Ace headphones connected to a Sonos soundbar.
TrueCinema Surround Sound: Tailored for Sonos Ace, TrueCinema technology analyzes your room’s acoustics to deliver a rich, 3D surround sound experience directly through the headphones.

Adaptive Noise Cancellation: Active Noise Cancellation now adjusts in real-time for factors like hair, glasses, and hats using advanced sensors to block out sound leaks more effectively.
Improved Call Experience: Calls sound clearer and more natural with high-resolution audio and SideTone, which lets you hear your own voice during calls while ANC is active.

Commenting on the update, Chris Kallai, Sonos’ VP of Product, said,
We’re excited to bring features our customers have requested, such as letting two people enjoy TV audio simultaneously on their Sonos Ace headphones. We’ve also put great effort into our TrueCinema technology to deliver an amazing open-air sound experience, making it feel like you’re not even wearing headphones.
