Micron Technology today unveiled two new SSDs at Computex 2025 — the Crucial T710 PCIe Gen5 NVMe and the Crucial X10 Portable — designed for users requiring quick and dependable storage for gaming, creative projects, and large data workloads.
Crucial T710 PCIe Gen5 NVMe SSD
The Crucial T710 uses Micron’s G9 NAND and Silicon Motion’s SM2508 controller to handle AI processing, gaming, and creative workloads. It reaches read speeds up to 14,900 MB/s and write speeds up to 13,800 MB/s, with up to 2.2 million read and 2.3 million write IOPS.
Micron said it runs cooler and 67% more efficiently than earlier Gen5 SSDs. An optional heatsink improves thermal control, and with up to 4TB of space, it can load large language models to memory in under a second—making it fit for AI-ready PCs.

Crucial X10 Portable SSD
The Crucial X10, built with the SM2322 controller, delivers read speeds up to 2,100 MB/s—twice as fast as before—and is available in 4TB, 6TB, and 8TB options. It can store roughly 500,000 4K photos, 114 games, or 2.6 million MP3s.
With a matte blue finish, the X10 is IP65-rated for dust and water resistance and can survive drops up to 9.8 feet. Micron said it’s made for users who need fast, durable storage for everyday use or creative work.
