GoPro Quik video editing app for desktop released


GoPro’s Quik app, the company’s video editing app, is now available on desktops, starting with macOS. The app is cloud-based, allowing you to start an edit on your phone and continue it later on your laptop.

The app offers features like automatic video highlight, powerful editing tools like auto-sync edits to the music, video adjustments like crop, trim, etc, filters, and video speed options. It can also act as a remote while shooting with a GoPro camera.

Availability

The Quik desktop app is available at no additional charge to GoPro subscribers. Apple macOS users can download the app from App Store now.

In addition to the premium tier plan of GoPro subscription, the company also introduced a Premium+ subscription that offers up to 500 GB Cloud Storage for Non-GoPro Footage, HyperSmooth Pro Video Stabilization, and more.

The Premium plan costs USD 49.99/year (Rs. 4,150 approx.) while the Premium+ costs 99.99/year (Rs. 8,297 approx.). You can view the complete benefits of both plans below.
