HONOR showcases Magic6 with On-device LLM powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3


HONOR has announced that its upcoming Magic6 smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform. This collaboration aims to showcase the power of on-device large language models (LLM) with seven billion parameters, as unveiled at the Snapdragon Summit 2023 in Hawaii.

The collaboration between HONOR and Qualcomm Technologies aims to create a human-centric ecosystem for smart interactions across various devices. At the event, HONOR showcased numerous enhancements in MagicRing connectivity, highlighting the joint efforts of both companies.

Personalized Services with HONOR’s on-device LLM

HONOR’s on-device LLM is distinct from cloud-based LLMs. It tailors its services to individual users based on their preferences and device usage.

HONOR and Qualcomm Technologies focused on three key aspects: performance, efficiency, and user privacy. The outcome includes optimizations for power efficiency and robust data protection to safeguard user data.

Generative AI and AI Video Creation

HONOR Magic6, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, introduces an on-device LLM with seven billion parameters, marking a new era for generative AI. HONOR showcased an AI video creation demo, demonstrating the ability to create personalized videos with voice commands to the smart assistant YOYO.

Magic Capsule and MagicRing

At the event, HONOR demonstrated eye-tracking-based multimodal interaction known as Magic Capsule. They also highlighted three key features of MagicRing: Connected Camera, Connected Input, and multi-device screen sharing, all enabled by the latest Snapdragon Seamless technology.
