Lenovo introduces Legion Pro 7 series, ThinkBook Plus Twist and more


The newest 2023 Lenovo Legion array of battle-ready PCs, displays, and accessories was launched at CES 2023, setting a new standard in PC gaming, along with the Lenovo Tab Extreme, YogaBook series were also introduced.

Lenovo Legion Pro 7i and Lenovo Legion Pro 7

Both the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i and Lenovo Legion Pro 7 have a PureSight Gaming Display with a 16:10 WQXGA 25601600 display that supports up to a 240Hz variable refresh rate. Also incorporated with Lenovo Legion TrueStrike keyboard, which is backlit by Lenovo Legion Spectrum per-key RGB customizable coloring.

Both the laptops come equipped with the latest 13th Gen Intel Core processors or AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors, and also offer the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series Laptop GPUs. On NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 Laptop GPUs, these laptops feature ColdFront 5.0 with Hybrid Thermals, as well as an extra-wide Vapor Chamber that covers both the CPU and the GPU.

The CPUs are kept cool by a liquid metal infusion, which totals 235W of TDP. The Lenovo LA AI chip, which drives the Lenovo AI Engine+, pushes performance even further, maximizing frames-per-second for a thrilling gaming experience. The laptops support up to 99.99Whr Super Rapid Charge battery and everything is housed in between all-metal top and bottom covers, available in Onyx Grey.

Lenovo Legion Pro 5i and Lenovo Legion Pro 5

Both of these laptops are powered by 13th Gen Intel Core or AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processor and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU. The Lenovo LA AI chip monitors CPU and GPU load and fine-tuned through Lenovo Vantage, access full advantage of the 200W total TGP for immersive gaming at higher level.

The Lenovo Legion Pro 5i and Lenovo Legion Pro 5 have a 16-inch Lenovo PureSight Gaming Display at 16:10 WQXGA with up to 240Hz variable refresh rate, as well as a 4-zone RGB TrueStrike keyboard with white colorways.

The Lenovo Legion Pro 5 comes with a Super Rapid Charge Pro 80Whr battery to keep you going in class or on the road. This complete loadout is sandwiched between a metal top cover and a polymer bottom cover in Onyx Grey or Abyss Blue.

Along with the new YogaBook and Legion series, Lenovo today announced the ThinkBook series of innovations at CES 2023.

ThinkBook Plus Twist

It has the newest 13th Generation Intel Core processors and a 13.3-inch 2.8K OLED display with touch glass and a twist hinge. In addition, the top cover features a new front-lit bright 12-inch e-Ink display with an increased 12Hz refresh rate and touch glass.

It includes Intel Wi-Fi 6E1 for connectivity, which increases wireless connectivity performance and stability on compatible networks. It also supports a full-size pen on OLED and e-Ink displays and has a battery life of up to 18 months.

ThinkBook 16p Gen 4

It has 13th generation Intel Core H-series processors with optional discrete graphics up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, a 165hz 3.2K 16-inch panel with Dolby Vision compatibility, DDR5 memory, and dual SSD support with up to 2TB of storage.

Dual noise-cancelling microphones are designed to allow teammates to hear the user’s voice above background noise at work or play. Furthermore, ThinkBook 16p Gen 4 could transform the ThinkBook into a video streaming home studio or provide 4G LTE connectivity for work.

ThinkCentre neo 50q Gen 4

With the newest 13th Gen Intel Core processors packed in a tiny, space-saving 1L chassis, the ThinkCentre neo 50q Gen 4 provides considerable power for organizations.

Featuring up to 1 TB of lightning-fast SSD storage, 1TB of HDD storage2, and up to 32GB of DDR4 memory. The Lenovo ThinkCentre neo 50q Gen 4 comes pre-installed with either Windows 11 or IGEL OS. It also offers Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.

Pricing and availability
  • The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i (16”, 8) with Intel Core processor will start at $1999 (Rs. 1,65,018 approx.) and will be available starting March 2023.
  • The Legion Pro 7 (16”, 8) with AMD Ryzen processor will start at €2699 inc. VAT  (US$2838 / Rs. 2,34,586 approx.) and to be available starting April 2023.
  • The Lenovo Legion Pro 5i (16”, 8) with Intel Core processor will start at $1479 (Rs. 1,22,092 approx.) and will be available starting April 2023.
  • The Lenovo Legion Pro 5 (16”, 8) with AMD Ryzen processor will start at $1459 (Rs. 1,20,441 approx.) and will be available starting April 2023.
  • ThinkBook Plus Twist will start at $1649 (Rs. 1,36,125 approx.) and be available starting June 2023.
  • ThinkBook 16p Gen 4 will start at $1349 (Rs. 1,11,360 approx.) and be available starting May 2023.
  • ThinkCentre neo 50q Gen 4 with Windows 11 OS will start at $499 (Rs. 41,192 approx.) and will be available starting Q3 2023.
