At the introduction of the Phantom X2 Series, TECNO also announced the global debut of its powerful MEGABOOK S1 laptop at an event in Dubai. The company claims that its Flagship Product Launch 2022, themed “Beyond the Extraordinary,” will transform the premium smart device experience.
The MEGABOOK S1 has a 15.6-inch screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 3.2K resolution. It has a 120 Hz refresh rate and covers 100% of the sRGB colour space. It can get as bright as 450 nits, which is pretty bright for a laptop, and DC dimming keeps it from flickering.
This laptop is very thin and light, measuring 13.5 mm (0.53″) thick and weighing 1.35 kg (2.97 lbs). And it is made of magnesium alloy, which makes it sturdy.
MEGABOOK S1 has a 12th-generation Core i7 (35 W TDP) with two fans. For storage, it comes with 512GB and 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSDs and 16GB RAM (LPDDR5). The laptop has a 70Wh battery; one of two USB-C connectors and a 65-watt GaN charger are used for charging. It has two USB-A connections, a full-size HDMI, a 3.5mm connector, and a microSD card reader.

With the OneLeap feature on the MEGABOOK S1, you can connect your Tecno phone to your laptop. The MEGABOOK S1 is powered by Windows 11 and has special TECNO features like NFC. There are six speakers, and DTS:X Ultra compatibility provides a wonderful multimedia experience. AI-powered noise reduction is integrated into two microphones. The built-in webcam includes AI smarts and will blank the screen if someone peeks over your shoulder.

Pricing and availability
The TECNO MEGABOOK S1 will be available in select regions in two configurations: 512 GB for $1,500 (Rs. 1,23,500 approx.) and 1 TB for $1,600 (Rs. 131,500, approx.).
