Xiaomi already confirmed the launch of Redmi Note 12 series smartphones on October 27th, which is later today. Just before the launch event, the company has confirmed that Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition will use Xiaomi’s self-developed 210W fast charging technology, which will be the fastest till date that has gone into mass production.

Xiaomi has confirmed that it has 60 safety features, so the charging is complete safe. It includes multiple protections to ensure stable output of high current and high power. There are multiple battery protections, effectively extending battery life. The phone also has multiple protections, system-level security monitoring and security guarantee.

Redmi General Manager, Lu Weibing said that the cost of the tech is high, but they have managed to integrate it in a mid-range phone.

The Xiaomi 210W charger surfaced in 3C certification back in August, revealing 20V -10.5A output, and the company has confirmed that it has three 100-watt charging chips, and uses dual GaN charger that makes it small, but achieves the power breakthrough.

iQOO 10 Pro has 200W fast charging that can charge the phone’s 4700mAh battery up to 100% in 10 minutes. Xiaomi’s 210W charging is also expected to charge the Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition in around similar time.
