Activision confirms Call of Duty: Warzone coming to smartphones soon


Activision, the creators of the Call of Duty: Warzone free-to-play battle royale game, has confirmed that it is bringing the game to smartphone soon, and has started hiring for several roles such as engineering, design, art, marketing, and more.

The game was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PCs in March 2020, and the company announced that it crossed 100 million active players in a year of launch. It is expected to release PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S later this year.

Regarding this, the company said:

This large-scale, battle royale experience is being built natively for mobile with cutting-edge technology designed to entertain gamers around the world for many years to come.

As mentioned on its website, it has various openings across multiple internal studios including Solid State Studios, Beenox, Digital Legends and Demonware.
