Suunto, a premium sports watch company based in Finland, has announced their entry into the Indian market with the launch of three new products namely the Suunto 9, Suunto 5 and Suunto 7. They feature advanced GPS capabilities, premium design and builds, long battery lives, multi-sport tracking capabilities and more.
The Suunto 9 series sport watches are their flagship models, designed for the most demanding athletes and explorers. It features up to 170 hours of GPS sports tracking in “Tour” mode, 80-plus sport modes, an intelligent battery management system, wrist-based heart rate monitoring, in-depth weather insights and on-watch navigation capabilities.
For those interested in having smartwatch functionalities, the Suunto 7 sports watch is powered Wear OS by Google, running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 Platform. It can sync with the Suunto app on iOS and Android, supports exercise tracking with GPS barometer and wrist heart-rate sensor, music control and connectivity on the watch. Battery life is rated at 48h in smartwatch use or up to 12h in GPS tracking mode.
The Suunto 5 is a compact lightweight multisport training watch, featuring support for over 80 sports modes and Adaptive training guidance capabilities. It supports 24/7 tracking of daily activities, stress levels and sleep quality, and it comes with intelligent battery modes, with a long battery life of up to 40 hours. The watch can also learns the user’s training patterns and then remind them to charge it before starting the next session.
