HTC to launch Honeycomb tablets this year

HTC Flyer tablet was recently announced, which is HTC first ever Android powered tablet. The tablet will be out soon and it comes with some good features as we told you before. People were expecting that HTC Flyer will come with Android 3.0 Honeycomb, but the tablet comes with Android 2.2 with HTC Sense UI.

Now DigiTimes is reporting that HTC is planning to launch two tablets later this year and they will run Android 3.0 Honeycomb. We don’t know anything about the features of the tablets, but what I think is that they will be bigger than HTC Flyer and will feature more powerful specs. The tablets will fall under HTC Flyer brand, which means that Flyer is HTC tablet class just like they use Desire for their smartphones. So hopefully, we will see some more new tablets from HTC, probably this summer. There is some speculation that the Android 2.2 Tablets won’t receive an update to Honeycomb. So are you still going to buy an Android 2.2 Tablet ?
