Amazon has released a new updated Alexa Voice remote for the very popular Fire TV Stick in India, featuring a similar design but with more shortcuts for streaming apps along with a guide button, and will come included with the 3rd Gen 2021 Fire TV Stick.
With the new Alexa Voice Remote, users have one-button shortcuts to access Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Amazon Music and a button to view all the installed apps. The remote also features a dedicated guide button, where users can view a consolidated channel and program listings from live TV apps. Lastly, the microphone button has been replaced with a blue Alexa button.
The new remote will be included in the box with the 3rd Gen 2021 Fire TV Stick. Users can also purchase it separately to pair the remote Fire TV Stick (2nd Gen), Fire TV Stick 4K and Fire TV Stick Lite.
Amazon also announced that their new Fire TV Experience, which first appeared with the Fire TV Stick (3rd gen) and Fire TV Stick Lite, will start rolling out to the Fire TV Stick 4K devices from today. Support for the Fire TV Stick (2nd gen) and Fire TV smart TVs will roll out later this year.
The Amazon Fire TV Stick (3rd Gen, 2021) with the Alexa Voice Remote is available for pre-order on Amazon for a price of Rs. 3999, and will go on sale from April 21, 2021. The Alexa Voice Remote will be sold separately for a price of Rs. 1999 on Amazon.
