Apple said to release two new Macbook Pros with Apple Silicon and Mini-LED displays in 2021

When Apple launched the new Macbook Pro 13 with their new Apple Silicon M1 chip inside, many of us were a little disappointed when the Macbook Pro 13 still had the same external design. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, that will soon change as Apple is rumoured to be developing two new Macbook Pro models for 2021, both with external redesigns and Mini-LED displays.

Ming-Chi Kuo has predicted that Apple will release two new Macbook Pro models with an all-new form factor, new Mini-LED displays and Apple Silicon that will be a significant upgrade over the recently launched Apple M1 chip. These Macbooks Pro models are expected to launch sometime late 2021, and a new Macbook Air model, also with an external redesign is expected to arrive in 2022.

Kuo also projects much higher shipments for the Mini-LED devices launched by Apple, around 10 to 12 million  in 2021 and 25 to 28 million in 2022. Apple’s Mini-LED devices that will be launched in 2021 will include both the Macbook Pro models and an iPad Pro models that are rumoured to launch in the first half of 2021.
