OnePlus 8T with 6.55-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 865+, 48MP quad rear cameras surface


Possible OnePlus 8T image with a flat punch-hole display surfaced in OnePlus 8 Android 11 Developer Preview 4 a few days back, now alleged specifications of the smartphone has surfaced. It is said to feature 6.55-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, compared to 90Hz refresh rate in the predecessor, and is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 865+.

The phone is expected to come with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, but there should be a 12GB + 256GB version as well. It is not clear if the company will move to LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It will run Android 11 with OxygenOS 11 on top out of the box.

Coming to the optics, it is expected to pack a 48MP rear camera, but with a newer imaging sensor, which could be IMX689 that is present in the OnePlus 8 Pro. It is said to retain the 16MP wide-angle sensor, but feature an upgraded 5MP macro, and an additional 2MP portrait camera.

It will likely retain the 16MP front-facing camera. There are not details if there will be an increase in battery capacity compared to 4300mAh battery in the predecessor.

The OnePlus 8T in expected to be introduced in late September or early October. We should know more details in the coming weeks.
