Acer Chromebook Spin 713, Spin 311, Enduro series of rugged laptops and tablets announced


Acer just announced new models of its Chromebook lineup and a new Enduro series of rugged notebooks and tablets. The company has announced a total of 5 products – Acer Chromebook Spin 713, Spin 311, Enduro N7, Enduro N3, Enduro T1, and Enduro T5.

Acer Chromebook 713

The Chromebook 713 features an aluminium chassis that has a reinforced design delivering military-grade durability. It flaunts a 13.5-inch VertiView 2K IPS display with a resolution of 2256 x 1504 pixels and is powered by up to a 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10610U CPU paired with up to 16GB RAM and 256GB SSD storage. This Chromebook is a part of Intel’s Project Athena innovation program that is aimed to help bring to market a new class of advanced laptops to enable new experiences. Both the display and the touchpad are covered by an Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass.

Further, there is support for WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, stereo speakers, and this Chromebook sports 2 x USB 3.1 Type-C ports, both supporting USB 3.2 Gen 1 (up to 5 Gbps), 1 x DisplayPort over USB-C, and 1 x USB charging (5V 3A). It also includes a 1 x HDMI port, 1 x USB 3.0 and 1 x MicroSD card reader. It runs on Chrome OS and lastly, it packs a 3-cell battery with 10 hours of maximum battery run time on a single charge.

It is priced starting at US$ 629.99 (Rs. 47, 651 approx.) and will be available in North America starting July 2020.

Acer Chromebook 311

The Chromebook 311, on the other hand, sports a smaller 11.6-inch display and is powered by the Mediatek MT8183 processor. This notebook is designed to handle schoolwork and everyday projects and has support for Dual Band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and the built-in battery promises up to 15 hours of battery life.

It is priced starting at US$ 259.99 (Rs. 19,665 approx.) and will be available in North America in July 2020.

Acer Enduro N3

Alongside the new Chromebook models, Acer also unveiled its new Enduro rugged lineup of devices – Enduro N7, Enduro N3, Enduro T1, and Enduro T5. The company says that the Enduro N3 rugged notebook is suited for users who rotate between several worksites. Coming to the build, this notebook has been constructed using shock-absorbent materials including a honeycomb shell and is engineered to withstand drops, falls, and water, according to Acer. It has MIL-STD 810G and IP53 certification, and the physical ports are further sealed against ingress.

Regarding the specifications, it sports a 14-inch display, can be configured with up to 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processor paired with an NVIDIA MX230 graphics (optional) and up to 32GB DDR4 RAM, up to 1TB of HDD storage, and an optional up to 512GB PCIe Gen3 NVMe SSD. Lastly, the built-in battery promises up to 13 hours of battery life.

It is priced at US$ 899 (Rs. 67,998 approx.) and will be available in North America in August 2020.

Acer Enduro N7

The Enduro N7 laptop is designed with mobile-first responders, field and industrial manufacturing workers in mind, according to Acer. Similar to the Enduro N3, this also has been constructed using shock-absorbent materials and is engineered to withstand drops, falls, and water. It has MIL-STD 810G and IP53 certification, and the physical ports are further sealed against ingress.

Regarding the specifications, it flaunts a 14-inch FHD display and is powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core i5 processor. The highlight of this laptop is Dual batteries – one hot-swappable battery with a long 10-hour life and another built-in bridge battery.

Acer Enduro T5 and T1 tablets

The rugged lineup also includes Enduro T5, a 10-inch Windows tablet that is powered by a 7th Gen Intel Core m3 processor and 10-hour battery life. The Enduro T5’s functionality can be expanded with accessories like hand grips, docking stations, shoulder straps, 4-point shoulder straps, car chargers and car holder.

On the other hand, the Enduro T1 (ET110-31W) is a flexible and rugged 10-inch Windows tablet that can double as a 10.1-inch notebook through an optional portfolio keyboard. It is powered by an Intel Celeron processor paired with 64 GB of eMMC storage. Like other models in this lineup, the T1 has MIL-STD 810G4 and IP54 certifications as well.
