Facebook rolls out dedicated gaming section to find and connect around games


What else do you do when you need to pass the time on the Internet? Apart from videos and movies, one of the logical answers could be gaming. There are numerous websites available with a huge collection of online games.

Additionally, around 700 million people play games, watch gaming videos, or engage in gaming groups on Facebook. In a bid to make it easier for people to find and connect around their favourite games, streamers, groups, and more, the company has started to roll out dedicated Facebook Gaming tab in the main navigation bar.

This tab will help people o discover, play, watch, and share gaming content personalized for them. Dedicated gaming tab comes as part of Facebook’s recent design update to provide personalized shortcuts.

Notably, the company will be rolling out the Facebook Gaming tab to a small subset of the more than 700 million people who enjoy gaming on Facebook regularly. Over time, the company will expand the feature to others as well.

For those who don’t see the tab in their main navigation bar can find it by going to the Bookmarks menu. The social media giant is also working on a standalone Facebook Gaming app on Android with more features.
