Social networking giant Facebook has filed a 118-page complaint against BlackBerry Ltd in San Francisco federal court. As per the complaint, Facebook claimed that Blackberry of stealing its voice messaging technology and other patented technology as well.
In addition to the voice messaging technology, Facebook also accused BlackBerry of using its patented technology that improves how a mobile device delivers graphics, video and audio and another that centralizes tracking and analysis of GPS data.
The company is asking for unspecified damages for infringement of six patents. Having said that, BlackBerry didn’t respond yet to the accusation made by Facebook.
Earlier this year BlackBerry sued Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram apps for copying features like unread count from BlackBerry’s proprietary and patent-protected Messenger app, BBM.
