Xiaomi Mi 5 MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM starts rolling out [Update]

Xiaomi announced the latest iteration of its android skin MIUI 9 on 2nd November in an event, last week company completed MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM roll out for first batch which includes Redmi Note 4 and Mi Max 2.

Mi 5, Mi Max, Redmi 4 and Redmi Y1/Y1 Lite were kept in second batch and were supposed to receive MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM in mid November and this morning Xiaomi started rolling out MIUI 9 Global Nightly Stable update to Mi 5.

The new update comes as MIUI 9.1.1.0.NAAMIEI and is of 571 MB in size, the update comes with October security patch. The update brings major changes to the Mi 5 like split screen, quick switch, screen recorder, new system animation and a lot more, for more details on MIUI 9 refer to this post.
