This week HMD global launched three Nokia phones in India, HTC launch U11 flagship, Samsung launched Galaxy J7 Pro and J7 Max, Huawei’s Honor announced Honor 9. Let’s take a quick look at all the launches and announcement that took place this weekly round up.

HTC launched its flagship U11 smartphone in India for Rs. 51990. It packs a  5.5-inch Quad HD 3D glass screen on the front and 3D glass on the back as well, is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform and runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat).  It is also dust and water-resistant with IP67 ratings and has Edge Sensor for new squeeze interaction. It has USB-C audio and the new HTC USonic combines Active Noise Cancellation with the ability to tune audio to your unique hearing. The HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi Edition speakers promises more loudness and better Dynamic Range Audio.

The HTC U11 comes in Brilliant Black and Amazing Silver colors, is priced at Rs. 51,990 and will be available across India in the last week of June through offline stores as well as Amazon.in online. Pre-orders on HTC e-store will start from tomorrow, 17th June and customers who pre-order will get a free HTC flip-cover worth Rs. 1,999.

HMD Global launched the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 Android smartphones in India. All these smartphone have dual SIM support and has support for 4G VoLTE for Reliance Jio. The Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 have a polycarbonate body, while the Nokia 6 comes with a unibody metal design. The Nokia 3 has a 5-inch display, the Nokia 5 sports a 5.2-inch display and the Nokia 6 sports a 5.5-inch display.

The Nokia 3 comes in Matte Black, Silver White, Tempered Blue and Copper White colors, is priced at Rs. 9,499 and will be available exclusively from offline stores starting June 16th, Friday, Nokia 5 comes in Matte Black, Silver, Tempered Blue and Copper colors, is priced at Rs. 12,899, pre-booking starts on July 7 and will be available exclusively from offline stores next month and Nokia 6 comes in Matte Black, Silver, Tempered Blue and Copper colors, is priced at Rs. 14,999 and will be available exclusively from Amazon.in. Registrations will begin July 14th.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro

Samsung launched Galaxy J7 Pro and Galaxy J7 Max, two new mid-range smartphones in the ‘Galaxy J7’ 2017 series in India. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, while the larger Galaxy J7 Max comes with a 5.7-inch 1080p display. These have Samsung Pay (Samsung Pay Mini on J7 Max for UPI and Mobile Wallet Payments), making them the first mid-range smartphones to support Samsung Pay.

Toreto TBE-804

Toreto launched a water resistant Bluetooth Earphone, dubbed as TBE-804 Blare. It will offer 8 hours of music playback and up to 10 hours of talk time. Moreover, this headset has a noise cancellation, Bluetooth v4.0, and works at the range of 33 feet or 10 meters.  It is powered by a 160mAh battery that can be charged from 0 to 100 in just 2 and half hours of times. Additionally, it has a water resistant feature that comes handy, when you prefer more outdoor activities including jogging or walking in rain.

The Toreto TBE-804 Blare Bluetooth Earphone is now available through e-commerce platforms at a price of Rs. 2499, but you can get it on Amazon.in for Rs. 2,200.

Sennheiser MOMENTUM In-Ear Wireless

Sennheiser launched its latest Momentum In-Ear, in a wireless version with active noise cancellation, premium neckband design made of high-quality materials, Qualcomm apt-X support and NFC for simple one touch pairing. It supports Bluetooth 4.1 with AAC codec support and comes with a microphone.

The  Sennheiser MOMENTUM In-Ear Wireless headphones comes in  Black and Ivory colors, is priced at Rs. 14990 and is available from retail stores and Sennheiser online store.

Alcatel A3 10

Alcatel launched A3 10, the company’s latest tablet in India. It packs a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800 Pixels) display, is powered by a quad-core MediaTek 8735B processor, runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat), has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has 4G LTE connectivity via SIM and support for voice calling through headset or speaker. The Alcatel A3 10 comes in Volcano Black color, is priced at Rs. 9,999 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart (Currently listed as Alcatel Pixi 5).

Intex ELYT e7

Intex launched ELYT e7 that has a 5.2-inch HD 2.5D curved glass screen, is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor, runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat), has a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, has 4G LTE connectivity with VoLTE and has a fingerprint sensor on the back. The Intex ELYT e7 comes in Golden color, is priced at Rs. 7999 and is available exclusively from Amazon.in.

Brainwavz HM5

Brainwavz Audio launched HM5 Studio Monitor Headphones that promises  to deliver precise and accurate sound, replicating audio as it was intended to be heard in a neutral sound signature. It has over-the- ear design. The closed dynamic monitor are adaptable and customisable and comes with two detachable cables, a short 1.3 meter cable for practical outdoor use, and a longer 3 meter cable for convenient home and studio listening. The Brainwavz HM5 Studio Monitor is priced at Rs. 7444, is backed by a 2-year warranty and is available at BrainwavzAudio.in and at Amazon.in.

iBall Slide Elan 4G2

iBall launched Slide Elan 4G2 tablet with 4G VoLTE support. Even though it doesn’t have an earpiece, it supports voice calling via headphones or a Bluetooth headset. It has a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display, is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core Cortex A53 processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with a single LED flash and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The iBall Slide Elan 4G2 comes in Golden color and is priced at Rs. 13999 (MRP).

 Google Daydream View Review -9

Google launched Daydream View VR headset in India that lets users experience sports, live events and more in full 360° panoramic view.  Indian users can also watch shows and movies, distraction-free, on the headset. DayDream VR is compatible with Pixel, Pixel XL and Moto Z smartphones and will support Galaxy S8 and S8+ soon. The Google Daydream View comes in Slate color in India, is priced at Rs. 6,499 and is available exclusively from Flipkart.

WS623 Walkman_Black_with_Commander-Large

Sony has launched the new WS623 Walkman that supports Bluetooth and NFC. It is aimed at sports enthusiasts and is Water and Dust Resistant (IP65/68) making it suitable for outdoor conditions and sporting activities. It comes with Ambient Sound Mode that uses in-built microphones to pick up external voices and sounds in the surrounding environment. The Sony WS623 Walkman is priced at Rs. 8,990 and will be available starting June 15, 2017 via all Sony Center stores across India.

Beyerdynamic Byron in-ear wired headset and Byron BTA wireless headset
Beyerdynamic launched two new headset, wired in-ear Byron headset and the Byron BTA wireless headset with Qualcomm aptX support in India. Both these have solid aluminium housing and come with eartips in three sizes for optimal fit. The entry-level Byron wired headset comes with a cable that has a remote control to control music and volume.The Beyerdynamic Byron in-ear wired headset is priced at Rs. 3650 (MRP), but it is available on Amazon.in for Rs. 2499 and the Byron BTA wireless headset costs Rs. 15,350 (MRP), but you can get it for Rs. 14,599 on Amazon.in.

Gionee A1 Lite
Gionee announced A1 lite selfie-focused smartphone with a 20-megapixel front-facing camera in Nepal. It has a 5.3-inch HD display, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 processor, runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with Amigo 4.0 UI and a 13-megapixel rear camera. The Gionee A1 comes in Red, Black and Gold colours and is priced at Nepalese Rupee 26,999 (Rs. 16890 INR approx.) and will be available for pre-order from June 18th in Nepal.

It also features a full complement of input/output connections for popular gaming peripherals and VR headsets. It sports 99Whr battery, an AlienFX lighting with a keyboard optimized for competitive gamers. Up next, Alienware has announced Alienware 25-inch gaming monitor, with either NVIDIA G-SYNC (AW2518H) or AMD FreeSync, (AW2518HF). It features AlienFX lighting (AW2518H only), three preset display modes, full adjustability, single-diecast stand legs, and a panoramic multi-monitor view with ultra-thin bezel. It is available in the US and pricing starts at $499.
Honor 9

Huawei’s Honor brand announced Honor 9 flagship smartphone at an event in China. It is the same Huawei P10  that was introduced earlier this year, with Honor branding and without Leica SUMMARIT branded lenses. It has a 5.15-inch 1080p curved glass display with DCI-P3 coverage, is powered by an Octa-Core Huawei Kirin 960, has 6GB of RAM, runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with EMUI 5.1 and a 20-megapixel rear camera along with a 12-megapixel camera for 2x hybrid zoom and laser autofocus for quick focus. The Honor 9 comes in Blue, Amber Gold, Gray and Black colors, is priced at 2299 yuan (US$ 338 / Rs. 21780 approx.)

Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3 2017

Xiaomi introduced its first Windows 10 laptop – Mi Notebook Air back in July last year, later it introduced a 4G version, now it has refreshed 13.3-inch model with 7th-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors along with NVIDIA GeForce MX150 GPU and a fingerprint sensor on the trackpad that can unlock the laptop in 2 seconds. It has the same 13.3-inch Full HD display, custom AKG-tuned dual speakers, Dolby audio, USB Type-C port, HDMI and a sleek 14.8mm metal body.

Xbox One X
Microsoft introduced Xbox One X, its latest and its most powerful gaming console that was condenamed Project Scorpio. It has 4K HDR gaming, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X offering 3D spatial sound.All existing Xbox One games, including Xbox Play Anywhere titles, Backward Compatible Xbox 360 games and accessories, will be compatible with Xbox One X. Those games will load faster and look and play better, on Xbox One X, says the company.

Moto E4 Plus

Motorola announced Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus smartphones, two new budget smartphones today. Both these have a metal body, have a fingerprint sensor and run Android 7.1 (Nougat). The Moto E4 has a 5-inch HD display and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 425 Mobile Platform or MediaTek MT6737 SoC, while the E4 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch HD display, is powered by a Snapdragon 427 Mobile Platform or MediaTek MT6737 SoC and packs a 5000mAh battery along with fast charging support using 10W rapid charger.
