Design

Muveacoustics13

The Drive in-ear earphones has a minimalistic design. It is sleek as it measures 13.5 mm and weighs 15.3g. Materials used for the earphones are of good quality and hence offer a premium look. The rubber cables are flat instead of the usual round ones which reduced tangling. They are also smooth and offer a good texture while handling. The earpiece is made of hard plastic and has an ergonomic design.

Our review unit was navy blue but the earphones are also available in black and white variants. The earphones come with three pairs of eartips of different sizes and you can choose the one that is most suitable to you. The eartips are soft and makes them ideal even for wearing even for long hours. The overall design of the earphones is impressive.

They have the MuveAcoustics logo on them. It has gold-plated standard 3.5mm jack.

The earphones come with built-in microphone that allows you to answer calls. It also comes with volume control buttons. All these buttons are present on the left cable.

Performance

Muveacoustics2

Coming to the performance, the Drive earphones deliver clear audio output that is crisp without any distortion. Similar to major earphones in the market it has 2x8mm drivers and a frequency response ranging from 20Hz to 20KHz. The sensitivity level is at 102+/- 3dB (decibels) at 1KHz while the impedance of the earphones is at 16ohms.

We tested the Drive earphones by listening to music with various genres. The earphones impress when it comes to music with vocals as the audio output is sharp however, sometimes it offers less bass. The lack of bass is noticeable especially while listening to music on full volume. The noise cancelling is also good considering the price.

Conclusion

The MuveAcoustics is a relatively new player in the audio accessories market. It scores when it comes to great design and build quality. The flat cables have a smooth texture and are also tangle free. Audio quality is decent most of the time however the bass offering could have been better. To sum up the Drive in-ear earphones are decent but could have been priced a bit less than its Rs. 1999 price tag. It is available for as low as Rs. 1,799 from Amazon.in.

Pros

  • Great Design and Build quality
  • Decent performance with vocal
  • Soft and comfortable eartips

Cons

  • Average bass output
  • Slightly overpriced
