LG G6 with 5.7-inch QHD+ display, Snapdragon 821, Dual 13MP rear cameras announced


LG G6

LG just announced its flagship G6 smartphone at its MWC 2017 event in Barcelona. It packs a 5.7-inch (1440 × 2880 pixels) QHD+ LCD FullVision display with a 18:9 aspect ratio, is powered by a Quad-Core Sanpdragon 821 SoC and runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with Google Assistant.

It has 13-megapixel dual rear cameras with dual-tone LED flash, OIS 2.0, manual mode,  125-degree lens for secondary camera and a secondary 5-megapixel front camera with 100-degree wide angle lens. It has IP68 ratings for water and dust resistance that makes it safe to be immersed in up to 1.5 meters of water for as long as 30 minutes.

It is the first smartphone to feature Dolby Vision technology. It also supports HDR 10, both of which are standards for High Dynamic Range (HDR), the picture quality technology which allows for a wider range of color and luminosity, wherein both the darkest and the brightest areas are more vivid, revealing greater detail for a truly immersive viewing experience.
