Shazam, known for its music identification capabilities is collaborating with Snapchat to expand its footprint. With this step, it is now possible for the user to Shazam from within Snapchat by pressing and holding on the Snapchat camera screen when music is playing nearby.

This feature will allow the users to recognize music, engage with Shazam content, and send their music and artist discoveries as Snaps to their friends. Snapchat also added group chat feature that lets you message up to 16 contacts in a group at the same time. The names of your friends will be displayed at the bottom of the conversation. Moreover, users can also start one-on-one chat in a group just by tapping on the name, without spamming in the group.

You can do pretty much everything like sending emoji, stickers, voice notes and much more on the group chat as well. But, the messages sent in the group will disappear in 24 hours. Additionally, Snapchat has also two new editing tools to the update called Scissors and Paintbrush. The scissors will allow users to turn Snaps into stickers, while paintbrush can be applied to Snaps in Memories.

Shazam CEO Rich Riley, said:
