Flipkart today announced that it has launched its new warehouse in Lucknow today, second one in Uttar Pradesh, ahead of its third Big Billion Days sale later this year. With the latest addition, Flipkart now has 18 warehouses in the country with a total storage space of 6.2 million cubic feet.
The new warehouse that has a 50,000 cubic feet storage space and a ground space of 55,000 square feet houses the Fulfilment Centre and Mother Hub. It will stock products across electronics, household and lifestyle categories and can store up to 3 lakh products.
“Aimed at bringing in greater operational excellence to Flipkart’s overall logistics network in the region, the warehouse will ensure better fulfilment of Same Day Delivery and Next Day Delivery shipments within the Uttar Pradesh. The opening of this fulfilment centre will strengthen the logistical capabilities, resulting in a faster and seamless deliveries,” said Flipkart.
