Asus made the Zenfone 3 official at the ongoing Computex 2016. We are live at the event and got our hands on the phone. So let’s take a detailed look at the hardware and specifications of the phone in this photo gallery.
The Zenfone 3 sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Super IPS+ display with up to 500cd/m2 brightness, 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 14nm processor with Adreno 506 GPU. Running Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with Zen UI 3.0, the phone has 3GB / 4GB of RAM with 32GB / 64GB storage, expandable memory with microSD.
Zenfone 3 has a screen-to-body ratio of 77.3% and 2.1mm narrow bezel. It has earpiece, 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 88-degree wide-angle lens and usual set of proximity and ambient light sensors.
There are three capcitive touch buttons below the display.
The right side of the phone houses power/lock button and volume rockers.
A hybrid dual SIM slot (micro+nano/microSD) is present on the left.
At the top we have 3.5 audio jack, microphone and cut outs for antenna bands.
A USB Type C, microphone, loud speaker grills and antenna band cut outs are present at the bottom.
There is a 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF and Laser AF. A fingerprint sensor is present below the camera module.
Asus branding is present at the bottom. Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4 and 5GHz) MU-MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C. It has a 3000mAh battery. The Asus Zenfone 3 comes in Shimmer Gold, Aqua Blue, Sapphire Black and Moonlight White colors and starts at $249 (Rs. 16,760 approx.) for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage variant.
