Gmail for Android gets rich text formatting and instant RSVPs

Gmail is adding a couple of new additions to its Android app. The update that bumps the app version to 6.0 brings rich text formatting and instant RSVPs.

With the addition of rich text formatting, users  can add bold, italic, underlined, colored and highlighted text to your email right from inside the mobile app. Users will now see a new toolbar that lets your format the text while composing an email. Next up, the update is making it easier for you to handle calendar invitations. Now if you get a calendar invite from Google Calendar or Microsoft Exchange,  you can respond to it with one tap. This saves you from the hassle of moving back and forth between two different apps.

Gmail has been adding new features to the app since the beginning of this year. Earlier this month it started alerting users about unsecure emails and also rolled out Gmailify feature for non-Gmail account holders.
