Flickr for iOS gets 3D Touch support, Quick Actions and more

Flickr 4.0.6 for iOS 3D Touch

Yahoo has finally updated its Flickr app for iOS to support new 3D Touch feature in the iPhone 6s and the 6s Plus. Now you can preview photos, people, notifications and more with a light press of the screen. You can use 3D Touch to see a preview by light press, then move your finger left/right to preview neighboring photos. You can press harder to pop to full-screen.

The app has also been update to support Quick Actions, iOS 9’s Spotlight Search and more new features. Check out the complete changelog below.

New features in Flickr 4.0.6 for iOS

  • 3D Touch: With a light press, preview photos, people, notifications and more.
  • 3D Touch Extended: In your camera roll, press a photo to preview, then move your finger left/right to quickly page through neighboring photos. Once you’ve found your favorite, press harder to Pop full-screen.
  • Spotlight Search: Find your albums, groups and recently-viewed items without opening the app.
  • Quick Actions: Lightly press the app icon to upload a photo, skip directly to notifications
  • Universal links: Links you share now open directly in the Flickr app instead of Safari.
