Samsung pumps up workforce for optimizing Snapdragon 820 on Galaxy S7?


Rumors from couple of months have stated that Samsung is testing Snapdragon 820 Soc for its next flagship Galaxy S7. Today, another one has surfaced which says that the company has expanded the team to work on the chipset for the S7.

Samsung is reportedly increasing its workforce and and adding more engineers to work on testing and optimizing the Snapdragon 820 mobile chipsets for its flagship, Galaxy S7. It is being stated that the South Korean smartphone maker is the first manufacturer that gets access to Snapdragon 820 testing samples.

Samsung is said to be working on two versions of the Galaxy S7- one of which will run on its own Exynos 7422 SoC while other on the Snapdragon 820 SoC. The Galaxy S7 will be codenamed Jungfrau which is named after the mountain summit in Switzerland. The Snapdragon 810 had faced the music for its severe heating issues and hence, Samsung might have decided to up its game for the next flagship by considering the Snapdragon 820 SoC.
