Samsung has finally sent out press invites for its Galaxy Unpacked event on August 13th in New York. Samsung usually unveils its flagship Galaxy Note smartphones during IFA, but this time the company has decided to introduce it earlier, as rumored to compete with Apple’s iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus that are expected in September. The invite shows large curved edges that hints at larger Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.
We had already seen several leaks of both the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Plus. The S6 Edge Plus is expected to pack a 5.67-inch Super AMOLED Quad HD display with curved edges, Exynos 7420 processor along with 3GB of RAM and the Galaxy Note 5 is rumored to come with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED Quad HD display, Exynos 7422 chipset along with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM. Both these smartphones are expected to come with a 16-megapixel rear camera, similar to the Galaxy S6.
The Galaxy Unpacked 2015 takes place at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, New York on August 13th, Thursday and starts at 11:00AM ET (8:30 PM IST). Samsung will live stream the event on their YouTube channel as usual.
