A feature that has become the mainstay of most Android flagships might finally be heading over to the Apple iPhone. The next generation iPhone 6S is believed to be packing a higher resolution 12MP camera and a faster processor that will enable video recording at the Ultra High Definition spec if rumors are to be believed.

Rumors have so far focussed on the fact that the next generation iPhone will have camera centric upgrades. Indeed leaked components have indicated as such. That the new iPhone will have Ultra HD 4K recording can also be assumed given that Apple has been working on introducing a cheaper 4K iMac and that they already have a 5K enabled Mac.

The means to view the content is there, at least within Apple’s ecosystem, what remains to be seen is how Apple will tolerate the problem of limited storage on iOS devices keeping in mind the storage requirements of 4K content. All said and done, we expect Apple to jump on to the bandwagon as soon as they have the right combination of hardware and software to cater to the requirements of the vast number of amateur film-makers that use Cupertino’s hardware to pursue their artistic endeavors.
