Allview X2 Xtreme announced in Romania, a rebranded Gionee Elife E8


Allview, a Romanian company has unveiled its latest smartphone – X2 Xtreme. The device however is a rebranded Gionee Elife E8 or one can call it a Romanian version of the upcoming smartphone.

If you weren’t aware, Allview is known for integrating Chinese hardware into Romania. Meanwhile, Gionee will be officially introducing its Elife E8 smartphone later today.

Talking about the hardware configuration, the Allview X2 Xtreme sports a 6-inch display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The device is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MT6795 chipset with octa-core CPU clocked at 2GHz and IMG G620 GPU. There’s also 3GB RAM on board and you get 64GB of inbuilt storage with expansion slot.

The camera department is led by a 24 megapixel rear camera, which is capable of recording 4K videos. On the front, there’s a 8 megapixel unit in charge of capturing high quality selfies.

Allview X2 Xtreme comes with a fingerprint scanner and it is placed in the rear of the device. The smartphone measures 164 x 82.3 x 9.6mm and comes with Android 5.1 pre-installed. Lastly, the juice for the device comes from a 3,500mAh battery.

The rebranded Gionee Elife E8 will go on sale in Romania on August 15 and will cost you Romanian equivalent of $554.
