First up is Smart Lock for Passwords that builds on the Chrome Password Manager and adds a new API and UI for Android users that saves credentials for later use on other Android devices and browsers. Both password-based and Identity Provider (IDP, like Google Sign-In) credentials are supported. The latest version of Play services brings App invite functionality for both Android and iOS. This allows users to invite other users to install a certain app. Next up is Google Cast that lets you easily cast content from your mobile device or laptop right to your TV or speakers.

Finally, other features include Google Fit enhancements, the addition of a Maps API for Android Wear, Game Manager APIs for Google Cast, autoplay and queuing APIs, and more. Google Play Service was last updated (7.0) in March with Nearby Connections, Google Fit, Places API and more.
