Facebook generated $3.5 Billion in revenue during Q1 2015

Facebook has released its financial results for the first quarter of 2015 that ended on March 31st and has also included some statistics regarding the usage of Facebook. The revenue Facebook earned in this period was US $3.54 Billion.

This is a 42% increase in revenue compared to the same time frame last year when Facebook generated US $2.5 Billion. If the change in exchange rates weren’t taken into consideration, the increase would’ve been 49%. Mark Zuckerberg said, “This was a strong start to the year, we continue to focus on serving our community and connecting the world.”

The DAUs (daily active users) were 936 million on average which also increased by 17%  YoY (Year-over-year) compared to Q1 2014. The mobile DAUs were 798 million on average and has increased by 31% YoY. Monthly active users were 1.44 billion, an increase of 13% YoY and mobile monthly active users were 1.25 billion, an increase of 24% YoY.
