Samsung has launched a Power Sharing cable that allows users to transfer battery power from a Galaxy phone or tablet to another device. Priced at $19.99, the latest smartphone accessory from Samsung adds the ability to charge a device that has a microUSB port by connecting it to your Galaxy device.

The power sharing cable can be used to share power with any device that can be charged by a power cable. Samsung has listed handful of devices including the Galaxy S5, Galaxy Tab S 10.5, Galaxy Tab S 8.4, Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy Avant, and Galaxy Note 4 that are capable of sharing power with other devices.

In order to use the cable users will need to download Samsung’s Power Sharing app from Samsung Apps or the Play Store. They can then select the amount of power that needs to be shared with another device. Samsung said that the full battery amount on your Galaxy device “cannot be transferred due to power loss or usage during the transfer process”.

The Samsung power sharing cable is at present only available in the US. You can download the Power Sharing app from Google Play Store.
