Sony Xperia T, TX, V and SP Android 4.3 update starts rolling out

Sony Mobile started rolling out the Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) update for the Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra back in December, the  Sony Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and the Xperia Tablet Z got the update at the end of December. It rolled out the Android 4.3 for the SP in several countries including India earlier this week, now the company announced that it is also rolling out the Android 4.3 update for the Xperia T, Xperia TX and the Xperia V.

Sony already confirmed the Android 4.4 update for its top-end devices, and the KitKat update for mid-range devices is still under investigation.

The latest update for these devices brings

  • Google’s Android 4.3; Jelly Bean – Project Butter performance & UI response optimization and a smoother graphical experience
  • Messaging, Smart Connect, Small apps, TrackID, Sony Select tweaked, improved for better experience
  • Sony’s Media apps: WALKMAN, Album and Movies, with Sony Entertainment Network gets cloud service integration
  • Sony Entertainment Network & PlayMemories integration with a more intuitive UI, offering seamless access to both local and cloud content
  • Xperia Themes with downloadable UI packs from Sony Select
  • Android security enhancements, matched with Sony’s mobile enterprise solution: Xperia in Business
  • Battery STAMINA Mode updated with refreshed interface and more smart options for prolonging battery life

The update will be rolled out gradually across all countries. The roll out might vary across different models, carriers and countries.
