Hike cross-platform messaging app for Android from Bharti SoftBank has been updated to version 2.7.0 that brings new Chat Themes. This option lets users set images as their chat backgrounds. It comes bundled with 20 preset backgrounds and has option to download more backgrounds. The two-way chat theme feature allows either of the users to set or change the background anytime during the chat and is also applicable to group chats.

Commenting on the new feature, Kavin Bharti Mittal, Creator, hike messenger, said

The company launched Indian Emoticons to fit the moods of an Indian user and the BBM app got support for Stickers recently. This update also brings faster messaging and has lots of bug fixes, says the company. Chat Themes are available on Android and would be available for Windows Phone 8 and iPhone apps soon.
