Apple iPhone 5 Prices Compared across the World

Apple unveiled the iPhone 5 few hours back, and announced that it would go one sale in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and the UK on Friday, September 21. While they have only released the contract pricing for the US, they have announced the contract-free pricing for other countries. We decided to do a comparison of the price of the iPhone 5 in Canada, France,  Hong Kong, Singapore and the UK and convert them to Indian Rupees INR. It would go on sale in 22 more countries on September 28 and is expected in 100 countries with 240 carriers by December 2012. So, India might get the iPhone before that.

According to the conversion table, Hong Kong prices are cheapest after conversion because there is a sales tax in Canada. In Singapore the GST (Sales tax) and VAT in Europe is refundable when you leave the country. The pre-orders in the US online Apple Store and other countries have already started. So, are you planning to pick up your iPhone from any of these countries or wait for it to launch in India?
