Firefox for Android v9.0 update brings new UI for tablets

Firefox for Android has been updated to version 9.0 that bring new UI for tablets. This version also brings faster start-up time, HTML5 form validation and more. The previous version 8.0 brought Better Security and Home Screen Bookmarks.

Features of Firefox for Android v9.0

  • New Look for Tablets such as Full-Screen Portrait Browsing, Tab Optimization and new action bar with Quick Access Buttons for easy access
  • Faster start-up time than the previous version
  • HTML5 Input Tag for Camera Access for developers to let users make use of the camera to take pictures, scan bar codes and more without leaving Firefox
  • HTML5 form validation automatically that validates website form fields like numbers, emails and URLs without developers needing to write a custom code or use a third-party library
