Firefox for Android v8.0 update brings Better Security and Home Screen Bookmarks


Firefox for Android has been updated to version 8.0 that lets the users to set a master password to encrypt saved usernames and passwords for better security. This also has Home Screen Bookmark feature that lets the users add any bookmarks on their Android Home Screen. The Firefox mobile already has option to sync browser history, bookmarks, passwords and open tabs from any device and also supports add-ons. The previous version was Version 7.0 that was launched in September.

New Features in Firefox for Android v8.0

  • Added support for one master password to help users encrypt saved usernames and passwords for increased security
  • Users can now bookmark any website and add it to their Android Home Screen. From the Home Screen, the user can launch the bookmarked website with one click
