Sprint Nexus S 4G is the first handset to feature the Android Gingerbread OS along with the 4G connectivity. This handset was available for pre-order from last month, but today, Sprint finally released this amazing smartphone.

Back in March, Sprint announced the 4G variant of the latest Google phone, the Nexus S 4G. This handset is the successor of the Google Nexus One and it runs on the latest Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System. Sprint Nexus S 4G is the first handset to feature the Android Gingerbread OS along with the 4G connectivity. This handset was available for pre-order from last month, but today, Sprint finally released this amazing smartphone. You can purchase this handset directly from Sprint or you can even get it from Best Buy.

Sprint Nexus S 4G features a 4 inch WVGA SUPER AMOLED display with 800 x 480 pixels resolution, 1 GHz application processor, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS, 5 megapixel camera with flash, VGA front Camera, HD (720p) video recording, Wi-Fi, USB 2.0 and more.

Other features include a 3.5mm headset jack, NFC (Near Field Communication) Capability, 4G connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, A-GPS, 16 GB internal memory, 512MB RAM, Stereo Speakers, Accelerometer, Digital compass, Proximity and Light Sensor, 4G Mobile Hotspot capability, Android Market and a 1500 mAh battery.

Sprint Nexus S 4G is currently available for purchase at Sprint for $199.99 with a 2-year service agreement. Nexus S 4G requires activation on one of Sprint’s Everything Data plans, plus a required $10 Premium Data add-on charge for smartphones.
