Aircel 3G launch photos, data plans included !

Aircel today launched the much happening 3G service in Karnataka and UP East regions. They had few things to share about opportunities with 3G. Also they announced few other services that comes bundled with 3G. Aircel is offering many services like PocketInternet3G, PocketTV and Pocket Videos as part of its 3G offering.

As announced earlier, company has also launched a Froyo based Android handset called Ideos, priced at Rs 8,499.

3G data usage base rates 3p/10kb ie 3RS/MB.

Starts with Sachet packets.

Student pack at Rs.92/100mb

Data plan extends with Rs.202 where you get 250MB data.

Rs.602 for 1GB of data download with 30days validity.

Unlimited data usage at Rs.1275. But, 3G Dongle only.

Exclusive data plans as above with Nokia, Samsung, Blackberry and Dell products.

Their 3G data plans are pretty decent and reasonable. Their base data rate  is 3 paise/10KB . While other private operators have 10 paise/ 10KB as base data rate . Where, BSNL charging 2p/10KB and MTNL charging 1p/10KB.  Also, existing Aircel customers can enjoy 250MB of data usage and also 50minutes of free video calling within home network as  3G introductory offer.

To activate 3G on your Aircel SIM, send an SMS TRY 3G to 121. And enjoy 3G service on your 3G enabled handset.

    Look at the Rs.602 pack image.. It is mentioned as 1024GB instead of MB :P :P

    How does the free 3G for specific manufacturers work? Should we be purchasing the handset from them itself??

    Say if i get a unlocked dell streak from US.. Can i use 1gb/month of free 3G for 1 year on aircel??

      I dont think that would work .. but we dont know if they are that smart though ;)

    So, is there an unlimted plan or not? Please clarify.

    The first line says there is no unlimited plan from the Operator which means across any service from Aircel. But the next line says Unlimited for Dongle at 1275. How can you have two contradicting statements?

    No unlimited plan on 3G for mobile. But, there is an unlimited plan for Aircel’s 3G Dongle. That was what we were told at the launch event. Are we clear?

    when may rotn get 3G on aircel ? Also let me know why the kind of voice clarity over tata-indicom, airtel, idea and videocon is not available with the same user agent in aircel-rotn, vodafone-rotn and bsnl nationwide ?

    finally 3G in guwahati gr8t ,speed is good but i found less than bsnl .im getting download speed of 200-300kB/s while in aircel im 60 kB/s in my hspda suported 7.2mbps handset but still good coz service is good unlike bsnl where u have u run everytime. dis fellows dnt know what 2 say when asked 2 customers. thanxs aircel .

    hi ….i m frm visakhapatnam…ap, wer aircel 3g not launched oficially…but i find the signal frm many days…is der any way dat i can access it…? not accessible wen selecting the umts mode…

    good speed in patna. 300 kbps. But i think its not actual speed accordind aircel 3.6 mbps. So please increse ur speed. Thank u aircel

    huge benefit aircel is giving the largest plan costing a mere 600 is a bomb fitted in the ocean :)
