Amazon’s Alexa in India has gained music alarms, and this feature will enable users to set their favorite music as alarm tones to wake up to your favorite songs. With the new capabilities, you can set up alarms to play songs from Amazon Prime Music, Saavn or radio stations with TuneIn.
Furthermore, you can also use artist names, songs, playlists or genres for your alarm. Each Alexa device uses timers and alarms independent of other Alexa devices registered on your Amazon account. You can also manage your voice alarms from the Alexa app and can also set up alarm up to 24 hours ahead. It’s always fun to have custom songs as alarms, just try saying “Alexa, set an alarm for 7 am to play Lata Mangeshkar.”
However, in case your device is muted or not connected to Wi-Fi, your alarms will still go off but will use the default alarm tone as for the music to be streamed requires internet connectivity. The Alexa app can manage up to 100 timers and alarms and ‘Do Not Disturb’ doesn’t block timers and alarms.
The new music alarm feature is available on Amazon Echos or any Alexa device in India.
