Xiaomi Redmi 4A MIUI 8 Global Stable ROM based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat starts rolling out

Just last week, Xiaomi started rolling out Android Nougat based MIUI 9 Beta ROM to its budget oriented device Redmi 4A which was launched back in March 2017 with MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow). Now some Redmi 4A users are reporting that they have received a new android Nougat 7.1.2 based OTA update as Nightly build on their devices.

The new update comes as MIUI 8.5.10.0.NCCMIED and is of 1.3GB in size, this update also brings October security patch to Redmi 4A. Note that this is a Nightly build, Xiaomi releases Stable Nightly updates to random users to get feedback and the same update is rolled out to all users as a Stable build if feedback goes well, in case you wish to read more about Nightly ROMs refer to this post.

This update will be rolled out to all the users if there are no critical bugs found, but in case you are impatient you can download the Recovery ROM here and flash on your device using updater app method. Do note that MIUI 8 doesn’t support Native Nougat features like Split Screen and Quick Switch, these features are supposed to arrive with MIUI 9 update which is expected to arrive in Early December for Redmi 4A. Check out the changelogs below,
