Instagram adds Selfie Stickers, Pinning for Stories which is now used by over 200 million people every day

Instagram recently got updated with new Direct features, now it has introduced new creative tools when you share a photo or video to your story. After rolling out Geostickers in Stories for New York City and Jakarta, Indonesia, three new cities have got Geostickers that have been designed by local community members. The update also brings shortcut to your favorite stickers.

Instagram also said that over 200 million people are using Instagram Stories every day, which half of its 400 million daily active users that use Instagram as of February.

New features in Instagram

  • Tap the smiley face when you take a photo or video for a new sticker with a camera icon that lets you capture a mini-selfie. Before or after capturing, tap to apply different frame styles: fade or circle.
  • Tap and hold a sticker, move it over any object and confirm by tapping Pin to pin it to a specific spot in your video.
  • New Geo stickers for Chicago, London, Madrid or Tokyo
  • Shortcut to favorite stickers – Swipe right to see your recently used stickers after tapping the smiley face
  • When you record a video using Hands-Free mode, tap and hold the button to see a timer that counts down to when the video begins.

These new features will be available in Instagram version 10.16 for iOS and version 10.16.1 for Android.
